Do Blondes Have More Fun Than Brunettes?

Glam Patrol has news that Marilyn Monroe would have been shocked to hear. But, it is our responsibility to keep our fashion conscious women current on what's happening in the world of Glam. Read on to see what's new in the world of hair color and stereotypes.

Contemporary popular culture, it is often stereotyped that men find blonde women more attractive than women with other hair colors. Even Alfred Hitchcock preferred blonde women for the major roles in his films; as he believing that an audience would suspect a blonde the least, therefore the term "Hitchcock blonde" was born.

OMG, and enough already with the Blonde jokes aka "dumb blonde" is a stereotype of blonde women being unintelligent, sexually promiscuous, or both. In other areas of modern culture, blonde women are often portrayed as "promiscuous", leading to the stereotype that blondes "have more fun" and this we now have proof... is not correct according to a recent poll.

Before you take out running to change your hair color, take a look at what was discovered about hair color and Cleaning Time by Hair Color:
  • redheads: average 7.48 hours per week
  • women with gray hair: average 7.41 hours per week
  • blondes: average 6.13 hours per week
  • brunettes: average 5.85 hours per week
If use this list as a barometer for who's doing all the cleaning, it's clear that brunettes on average do less house cleaning than redheads, women with gray hair, and blondes. According to our Glam Patrol brunettes have more fun than blondes. Marilyn Monroe would have been flabbergasted!
